FILM AND SOUND

A selection of audio and visual pieces of work made over the past 5 years, including a free recorded meditation and interviews I have given on various podcasts

I Am Not An Artist is the culmination of 3 years work - starting with the drawings and animation, I then added the recorded sounds I sang as I held objects in my hand, finally adding the spoken word over the top. Shortlisted for the Ruth Borchard Self Portrait Prize and Exhibition at the Atkinson Gallery, Southport 2023

Just Add Water - Immersed is a 5 minute film made about my series of swimmer portraits Immersed 2021 as part of a documentary project by Kristian Coburn of Darzan Productions

This short film tells the story of how artist Katie Sollohub used sea swimming and her connection to the ocean as inspiration for a series of water colour paintings depicting swimmers straight after a dip.

Daily Paintings with Words and Sound is a collaboration with singer/composer Rebecca Askew, who in 2018 wrote music to my words, to accompany an installation of my daily paintings about everyday objects.

Meditation is an important part of my practice and my teaching. If you would like to know more about my Art and Meditation retreats please use the contacts page to get in touch or see what’s on my current teaching page. Listen to one of my guided meditations from Sussex Prairie Gardens below.
