Drawing and Meditation Pre-recorded Online Courses from Katie’s studio archive

Available to purchase anytime direct from Katie. Ongoing access to the recordings means you can follow them in your own time.

These Drawing and Meditation workshops combine my love of drawing with my personal practice of meditation. You don’t need any experience, or any special equipment. A pen or pencil and a scrap of paper would be enough, along with an open heart, an open mind, and a willingness to play.

Join me in my personal studio as I guide you through a series of simple mindfulness and drawing exercises. Each session is firstly grounded by a meditation, allowing you to engage with your sense of touch, connect your body with the earth and facilitate mental peace, before even picking up the pencil. Each subsequent drawing exercise explores different subjects, allowing you to investigate new artistic materials. By playfully experimenting with the process of mark-making, attendees can spend time connecting with their subjects and re-learning what it means to ‘draw’. If you have ever watched children scribbling on a piece of paper with rapt attention, you will recognize that sense of wonder they have, that this crayon in their hand can leave such a magical, exciting mark on the page. So grab a pencil and unleash your inner child!

I have made this series of workshops specifically for anyone who could benefit from some time to sit, feel, and contemplate the world. Especially anyone whose work involves physical movement, healing and touch. Here is a time just for you, to relish, and really connect with your own body in a mindful, meditative and creative way. Use them as you would a meditation class, to unwind after a hard day’s work, during a lunch break, or to start the day with something fresh.

Some workshops are available for download (unlimited access) on Vimeo. Some are available for a limited time only, for a lower fee, with downloads available on request. Unlike live workshops, you will be able to attend the pre-filmed classes at a time that works for you, and repeat the exercises as often as you would like. Workshops range from 45 minutes to an hour.
